Mary Streett, who was VP-federal government affairs at $24B billion Exelon Corp. is moving in April to BP America as the energy giant rebounds from the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster.
The Environmental Protection Agency and BP this month entered into an administrative agreement resolving matters related to the “suspension, debarment and statutory disqualification” from federal pacts. The 2010 Deepwater Horizon accident triggered that ban.
BP America chairman John Minge said the arrangement allows “Americas largest energy investor to compete again for federal contracts and leases.”
Streett will oversee federal, state and local government relations. She has federal experience, stemming from a Dept. of Commerce stint during the Clinton administration.
Streett will report to US communications and external affairs chief Geoff Morrell, who joined BP from the Pentagon’s PA shop in 2011.
