BERRYVILLE — Authorities say the mayor of Berryville has been arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Timothy McKinney has been mayor of Berryville since 1991. A police report says he was arrested Sunday and charged with DWI, possession of a controlled substance and speeding.
Carroll County Sheriff Bob Grudek says a deputy stopped McKinney on a highway outside of Berryville.
McKinney was released on bail. He would not comment about the arrest, other than saying he would go to court.
